Range of Motion (R.O.M.)

                                         (R.O.M.) Range of Motion
Are you aware of the importance of range of motion and what it means to your health, wellbeing and fitness? What is R. O. M.? Range of motion. Anyone reading this? Please take a small moment of time to Thank the Creator of your vessel, the body. It is such a magnificent creation. We must take this time to not only thank the creator of these incredible flesh containers of marvelous systems of life. Amazing is not justifiable of what we have. Off on a tangent there. Back to the task at hand. The joints of the body and this information is everywhere, it may not read like this, but hey you ain't a robot. All of us, our bodies are perfect as we know the word, it just isn't enough. None of the adjectives typed here come close to what we truly are. Typing to those with a body and brain. Everyone else, ARE is the first word of this read.
                                                                    Range of motion definition:
Range of motion: The full movement potential of a joint, usually its range of flexion and extension. For example, a knee might lack 10 degrees of full extension due to an injury.

This plays a very crucial part in the maintenance of the physical person, and as always physical is a reflection of the mental. Everything from the body is registered/regulated in the brain. Somewhere. That would be another blog. Baby steps that seem to grow daily in the society around us this very moment.

What are the range of motion? In order for a joint to have full range of motion, it must have good flexibility. Each joint has its own level of flexibility, expressed in degrees. Flexibility is the range of motion around a joint, and can refer to ligaments, tendons, muscles, bones, and joints.

What are the three types of range of motion? This motion is influenced by several structures: configuration of bone surfaces within the joint, joint capsule, ligaments, tendons, and muscles acting on the joint. Range of motion exercises are also called "R.O.M." exercises. There are three types of R.O.M. exercises: passive, active, and active assists.

What are the range of motion exercises? Active range of motion exercises help improve joint function. Range of motion is how far you can move your joints in different directions. These exercises help you move each joint through its full range of motion. Movement can help keep your joints flexible, reduce pain, and improve balance and strength.

Range of motion exercise refers to activity aimed at improving movement of a specific joint. Passive range of motion is movement applied to a joint solely by another person or persons or a passive motion machine. When passive range of motion is applied, the joint of an individual receiving exercise is completely relaxed while the outside force moves the body part, such as a leg or arm, throughout the available range. Injury, surgery, or immobilization of a joint may affect the normal joint range of motion.

Active range of motion is movement of a joint provided entirely by the individual performing the exercise. In this case, there is no outside force aiding in the movement. Active assist range of motion is described as a joint receiving partial assistance from an outside force. This range of motion may result from the majority of motion applied by an exerciser or by the person or persons assisting the individual. It also may be a half-and-half effort on the joint from each source.

                                                                         Joint Range of Motion
Appreciate R.O.M. as a freedom, more room for more movement. It's easier to understand after not having it for sometime. It can also be taken for granted.

Now then, with this read. The whole point of providing this information is to inform any person or persons attempting to maintain their health, wellness, and fitness, must consider doing so to this depth. As Marshal would put it, "To the bone." or not.
Simply put. The body will/is repelling almost everything attempted due to being out of alignment. Naturally. Prerogatives.

To place this information into it's intended perspective. If your max on the bench is 350 lbs. Struggling to get that third rep. Strength has met it's match. Has it? Let's dissect the situation. The chest has no joints, the shoulders, elbows, waist, fingers do. Where there is a joint, there's R.O.M. See Range of motion above. "The full movement potential of a joint." The full movement! Calculate the full movement or full range of motion on the bench press. Starting from the sternum, the muscle of the chest are attached to, out to the fingertips. Full movement? Chest and arms? Full movement? Decreased R.O.M. means decreased strengths. To some degree. What is strength? The intensity of light, color, sound or odor

There are many definitions of strength, this one was chosen to provoke a search for others. From start, the movement on the bench is calculated by what is being lifted, and how many times. 350 lifted 3 times. Unable to do 351? 350, 3 times is all. Why? The body has met it's match, it' strength for this movement. If the R.O.M. of any joints in this movement has been decreased. So has strength . With the increase of r.o.m., get the picture. This can also represented by speed, endurance and stamina etc. Strength of a muscle can be increased considerably, with the increase of R.O.M. Maxing out is only as true as what has been maxed with in.  Alignment, balance, to name a few others also included with R.O.M. Look at gymnist, their muscles contain strength from a higher percentage or range of motion of the joints. They could be considered perfect athletes, both physically and mentally.
The purpose of MxF is to develop this IN ward structure R.O.M. non invasively. Quickly, safely. For the athletes' to the sedimentary persons may contain these minor limitations.  We're not all athletic, nor do we all frequent a gym, to get as physical as we would like. Bodies and brains. Correct? We all go through the workout of life, living on a day to day basis, don't we? MxF is you. No, really it is. You may call it something different. We all possess the necessary goals and benefits we seek within ourselves. If only there was a path?

Why is one of my chest muscles bigger than the other?
If one side of your chest is bigger than the other… It depends if the asymmetry is muscular in nature, or due to fat/glandular tissue. To keep it simple, let's say the left side of your chest is bigger than the right side (the same advice would apply if the right side of your chest was bigger than the left).Oct 6, 2017

Easier said than done. MxF is you, it's a scientific system that could be considered relatively simple for such a complex molecule or molecules it's designed for. Every knuckle or knee pop is a story the body is telling. We have more range of motion, there is no more etc. Who knows? We should! Individually know exactly ourselves. It's not our fault we don't. No need to keep beating a dead horse. Not to be morbid. As more information about stretch and flexibility makes its' way into society. It's always been there, shall we type, into the fore front of the health, wellness and fitness industries. We'll watch in glee, because it is the purpose. No matter who's hustling the information. It's for the greater cause. It's a lot bigger than us.

Similar to the importance of the warm-up, the drastically changes from the range of motion perspective. Being complimentary of each other. With IN is a beast often overlooked, being extremely crucial in the arena of health, wellness and fitness. With that typed, it should be understandable why the warm-up is enjoyable. Knowing it's about more than warm muscle makes one cozy up to it even more. The pop of a joint is underrated. You might be surprised at what it is saying to you. More importantly, learning your individual body pop language. It is quite interesting.
